Kaanchana’s Hindi remake

Raghava Lawrence is gearing up to remake his Kaanchana in Hindi. Word is that he held a special screening for Salman Khan in Mumbai and Sallu was only more than eager to do the remake.

Says Raghava Lawrence, "Now that the film has released and is doing well at the BO, we are planning to screen a subtitled version for Salman Khan at his residence in a couple of days." Producer Murali says, "I'm currently in Mumbai to finalize the details on Kaanchana's remake. Only a few formalities are left and only after that can I officially confirm if Salman Khan will be starring in it. It will take us about four days to confirm his presence in the film."

Quiz him if he has decided on who will reprise Sarath Kumar's role in the remake, and he says, "We have a top actor in mind, but it's finally Lawrence's call. We are preparing to screen the film for Aamir Khan as well."

The remake will go on floors only after Lawrence completes his Telugu film Rebels, with Prabhas and Anushka. "And after the Hindi remake, we will start work on Muni 3, for which script is already in place," he says.
